Fall Art Classes – Mesa Arts Center

Arts in Service fall classes are available for registration as of Friday, July 7th, 2023.  Arts in Service offers FREE classes for service-members or veterans of the United States Military.

Classes include:

• Welding/ Beginning to Advanced -Learn to bend, shape, cut and finish steel to make decorative objects of art.
• Black & White Film Photography – For anyone with or without previous darkroom experience. There will be plenty of darkroom time, and instruction on ways to shoot good pictures on film.
• Blacksmithing – Learn the basics of blacksmithing, including how to use blacksmithing tools to create artistic and functional projects.
• Borosilicate – Learn to manipulate molten glass with a torch to make cosmic marbles and hollow form pendants, ornaments and objects.
• Introduction to Printmaking -Explore three processes and a range of techniques to use with them.
• Flameworking: Bead Making -Students learn to manipulate molten glass with a torch to make marvelous glass beads. Beginning students will be introduced to the fundamentals of torchwork Intermediate to advanced.
• Glass blowing, pottery making, and more!
