The Phoenix Public Art Program has two exciting new opportunities for professional artists to contribute to the city’s renowned collection of public art. Both will select artists and artworks to enhance new public spaces at Sky Harbor Airport’s Terminal Three. They include the purchase of up to five sculptures for a new outdoor plaza at the west end of the terminal, and the creation of a major artwork for a large indoor wall on the east end. The projects are part of the terminal’s modernization, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
Sculptures by up to five artists will be purchased for the West plaza, which will be designed as a sculpture and botanical garden. Learn more about applying for this project at phoenix.gov/solicitations/691.
An artist or team will be selected to create a major, large-scale work to greet arriving passengers in the East Arrivals Atrium. Information about this opportunity can be found at phoenix.gov/solicitations/690.
The application deadline for both projects is Friday July 29, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. (Arizona time).
