From City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS – MURAL ARTISTS
    Deadline 5:00 P.M. MONDAY, MAY 16, 2016

The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, in partnership with Fry’s Food Stores, a division of the Kroger Company, will commission two professional artists to create indoor murals for new Fry’s grocery stores in Phoenix and Litchfield Park, Arizona. The murals will be prominently displayed on a wall inside the stores as part of the Kroger Company’s commitment to involving artists in beautifying new stores in Arizona and throughout the nation. The artwork will be expected to celebrate the spirit of community and the unique identity of the neighborhood and its surroundings. The mural may be painted directly on the wall, or on panels of durable material that can be attached to the wall. The murals are expected to be at least 12.5 feet wide by 5 feet high.

Eligibility: This opportunity is open to professional visual artists (painters) in the Phoenix metropolitan area with the ability to produce an exemplary large-scale mural.
