Artist Bruce Marion is one of the leading contemporary abstract painters of today. His unique vision is realized in complex layers of color and texture that allow the viewer the sensation of seeing below the surface. His compositions emphasize the forces exerted, both harmonious and discordant, when two entities share the same environs. Above all, Marion's paintings reflect the multi-faceted dimensions of the human experience.

Born of heartache, Cyndy’s paintings are a way of translating pain and yearning into hope. Each work of art is a meditation on the assurance of beauty and tranquility even in our most challenging moments.
Cyndy’s skyscapes are her trademarks. While landscapes have always been her forte, her focus shifted to the sky during a defining period of her life. Caring for her sick mother, watching the deterioration of one who had loved her best in the world, Cyndy was struck in a moment of exhaustion and despair by the overarching serenity of a sunset. As she held the image within her mind throughout the grueling weeks, months, and years of care, she realized that focusing on that beauty made her a better caregiver, a more loving person, and a more grateful member of her family. Subsequent moments of distress within her family have brought her back to these moments of hope, increasing the power and drama of the skyscapes she paints.

By observing the details in everyday surroundings, I find a wealth of ideas: from the smallest of sweet peas on my garden trellis to the rhythm of color across the Arizona landscapes. I feel very blessed to be able share myself with others through my art.
Capturing the colors of nature in both sunshine and shadows, Catherine Sickafoose pulls the viewer into the soul of the painting, blending negative brushwork - using the white of the paper rather than white paint - with glazed transparent watercolors for vibrant representations of landscapes, florals and still life paintings in light and shadow. Painting from her own photographs or still life compositions, Catherine works in either her Flagstaff or Phoenix, Arizona studios.
