Art Studio Classes

Mesa Arts Center has a great line up of classes for the month of October!

Celebrate Halloween by joining a Railroad Spike Skull Workshop.  Sculptor Richard Rozinski leads this blacksmithing workshop for ages 16 and above.  In this two day workshop you will learn basic techniques.  No previous experience necessary.  This sculpture workshop takes place each Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Oct. 8 – Oct. 15, 2022.  Register here.

Carve a Linocut Pumpkin
For ages 11 and up.  Students will design, carve, and print an edition of Halloween-themed pumpkin linocut prints.  Workshop by Daniella Napolitano.  Saturday  Oct. 29, 2022, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.  Registration and details here.

Beginning Drawing
Ages 16 and up will enjoy this 8 week course from October 26th through December 14th, 2022 by Luke Watson.  A flexible course designed for an introduction to basic drawing skills. A wide breadth of skills can and will be covered including gesture, shading, rendering, perspective, and more. The course is also intended to focus on the types of drawing and skills needed for individuals to improve towards the type of drawing they want to create and provide the tools for further personal development beyond the class.  Register here.

Printmaking
Ron Brimrose teaches beginning to advanced techniques are covered in several processes:  monotype, dry point, and relief.  Have fun exploring in any or all these processes.  Ages 16+.  Register here.
