Introduction to Elements

For 2024-2025, the Sedona Arts Center theme for exhibits will is “Elements”.

Entry Deadline:  July 5, 2024
Entry Fee:  $30.00
Eligibility:  National

Sedona Arts Center is accepting submissions for the Introduction to Elements exhibit, which will run August 2-30, 2024.

Some of the exhibits that will be included in this year’s line up will tie in an Element of Diversity, an Element of Sport, an Element of Celebration, etc. You are invited to interpret our theme any way you choose. But please provide an explanation of your piece and how it connects to our Elements theme.

Here are some definitions:

1) a part or aspect of something abstract, especially one that is essential or characteristic of that thing;

2) each of more than one hundred substances that cannot be chemically interconverted or broken down into simpler substances and are primary constituents of matter. Each element is distinguished by its atomic number, i.e. the number of protons in the nuclei of its atoms;

3) any of the four substances (earth, water, air, and fire) formerly believed to compose the physical universe;

4) a person’s or animal’s natural or preferred environment;

5) weather conditions – especially violent or severe weather;
