Call to Artists for Public Art Opportunity
City of Surprise

The City of Surprise, in conjunction with the Surprise Arts & Cultural Advisory Commission (SACAC), is seeking qualified artists to propose artwork that will be placed as a gateway entry monument in the center of an existing roundabout near Cactus & Litchfield Roads.

A new 44,000 square foot project is also planned for this location and will support public safety fleet maintenance and storage needs and consolidate Public Works Operations into one facility to aid in street maintenance, trash/recycling, traffic signal and citywide vehicle fleet operations efficiencies.

The artwork is intended to pay tribute to the critical operations that occur within this facility and the men and women that provide these services.  Information regarding the requirements of this RFP may be obtained at the City Manager’s Office located at 16000 North Civic Center Plaza, Surprise, AZ 85374.
