Kenny Wayne is an award winning American artist living in the village of Yarnell and maintaining an on-site studio in the mountains of the Central Plateau of Arizona. His work has been collected throughout the United States and abroad. He has been an instructor at a variety of educational facilities in the USA as well as in Mexico. Additionally, Kenny Wayne has given artists workshops for Sculpting, Indigenous Pottery, Mask Making, Pit Firing, Mold Making and Raku.
Schooled in the "Lost Wax" method of Bronze Casting, he now primarily sculpts in clay and specializes in the Raku process. Most of his pottery is made on the wheel though he sometimes does coiled and slab vessels. Recently Kenny was awarded a Gold Medal in a "National Competition for the Arts" in pottery for his work in "Sager Firing" with clay, using collected organic materials and natural elements mined from the Arizona Mountains.
